Just downloaded EasySync 4.2 from the BP site. Thought I'd give it a try since it's supposed to support N6, and hopefully all the bugs that made me hate 4.1 so much would be gone.
Funny how a product like mNotes installs and works flawlessly, while EasySync Doesn't work!! Not even a little. It laughs at you at every step, taunting you like the evil piece of software it is.
Anyway, let me stop ranting and get to the tech part. When EasySync is loaded, I try mapping to my notes.ini file....no problem. But when I sync it says it can't find any of the db's. Guess it never really READ the notes.ini that it was mapped to.
So I try to manually map them. If I map to the server, the program hangs forever. If I map to a local copy of my mail, it says there was an error opening it. It also says it can't find my journal.nsf even when I point directly to it!!
Why can't this JUST WORK? Or better yet, why can't it be built into Notes and just work? uh, sorry. Ranting again.
PLEASE, if anyone out there has somehow gotten this product to work, let me know your secret. I'm sure it takes magic. I've got the eye of Newt ready. Just tell me what else I need.
